Despite an early closure Friday afternoon due to weather conditions—which took down with it all main stage acts but one and led to the fest offering refunds for the day—New York City-based Panorama Music Festival, this year July 27-29, brought more than a dozen brands to Randall’s Island Park with the goal of engaging millennial music fans. The bad luck stop didn’t stop there, with hip-hop star Lil Wayne canceling on Saturday evening minutes before his planned set time, citing weather (despite a clear sky, noted by more than one attendee, we overhead). Still, festivalgoers made the best of the muddy grounds and lighter music lineup, engaging with HP’s digital art installations, Sephora’s glitter frenzy, American Express’s Cardmember Club (whose snaking, long line gave a whole new meaning to the word “exclusive”) and many other activations. Come along on a photo tour of what EM encountered.
