Acer Exhibits:  Easy Exhibiting through Stellar Service and Daring Design

The second year of the partnership between Acer Exhibits and L’Oreal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) kicked off after a successful inaugural exhibit in 2025.  Both teams were anxious to deepen the partnership while producing a more impactful, more effective and more elevated exhibit experience for LDB visitors at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), their premier show.   The project would not have been successful without the legendary concierge-level service provided by the Acer team, manifesting in an incredibly functional and thoughtful design that sprung from a desire for continuous improvement.

Creating a cohesive presentation for seven very different brands within a single footprint is not a design challenge for the faint of heart, even when the footprint is 10,000 square feet.   In 2025, each of the seven brands vied for center stage with its unique presentation.  While the aesthetics for each brand were bold, effective and eye catching, the overall impression was a bit disjointed without a clear visitor journey.  The feedback was clear:  a more harmonious presentation was needed for this second year.

The deliverable called for a plan which would allow each brand to shine individually, while also using a consistent treatment hosted within a unified space.   Acer’s design team came up with a dual-pronged “inside and out” approach to achieve this harmony.  The first tactic – and key design element – integrated a central boulevard featuring each brand.  This boulevard transected the center of the space with brands branching off to each side.  This internal layout was mirrored on the outer perimeter where each brand had a storefront style feature facing into the traffic aisles.  Within the brand zones, each brand employed similar, although differentiated structures and color palettes to present their products and brand voice.  The end result was reminiscent of a mall or urban retail window dressing, drawing visitors in from all sides.

Good design, though, is only one part of the partnership.  Across fifty-two weeks of meeting, planning, revisions and curveballs, the LDB team was consistently delighted by every member of the Acer team offering superior service and impeccable attention to detail.   Onsite, the Acer team provided a dedicated support individual for each brand zone, complementing the overall coordination of Acer’s stellar field supervisors to ensure total client satisfaction from load in through dismantle.
