ComplexCon, an annual festival and streetwear convention that descends upon California’s Long Beach Convention Center each year, fuses elements of pop culture, fashion, music, sports and food for some 60,000 attendees seeking the latest drops and exclusive merch that hype culture has to offer. EM was on site this year, Nov. 2-3, to get a look at the action firsthand.
On display were an abundance of creative collabs between hip-hop stars, athletes, brands, visual artists and celebrities—many of whom made appearances on the show floor and event stages with meet-and-greets, panel talks and live versions of Complex’s podcasts and TV shows. Our coverage focused on experiences and the most creative booths. Trends we spotted included nostalgia, gaming, bold color, graffiti, neon, exclusive collabs and customizable merch. Here’s a photo tour of some of the standouts—and stay tuned of our full field report in the December issue of Event Marketer.
