What’s trending? Renewable Energy, that’s what!

“Trends, like horses, are easier to ride in the direction they are going.”

– John Naisbitt

Though this simple analogy may seem like common sense, you’d be surprised with how frequently people go against certain trends. Climate change and environmental pollution for example, though not trends, are a hot issue right now. Regardless of one’s stance on the subject, it’s apparent that the human race needs to find cleaner and more efficient ways of producing energy in addition to being more accepting of the ones that are already available.

Most people are familiar with the large, more common forms of renewable energy technologies such as solar panels, wind turbines, and hydroelectric dams, but did you know that there are some forms of renewable energy technologies that are as small as your forearm?

Renewable energy technology has come a long way since the first usage of solar panels in the early 1900’s for space endeavors. There are now solar shingles that can be installed on rooftops and floor tiles that generate kinetic energy simply from your footsteps. Not only that, but you can now jump rope in the school yard and then use it to charge your phone afterwards. Insane!

It doesn’t take a scientist to see the positive impact these devices can have on our environment. For now, renewable energy technology is only a hot trend given that the barrier to entry is fairly high for use by the general public. That being said, imagine the possibilities of making the experience your consumer has with your brand or client at an event even more impactful with an engaging, sustainable interactive kiosk that is run by a renewable energy source. The possibilities are endless.
