Web-driver Events: Site Targets Office Workers For Quick Push To Net

DiningFever.com a new web site that highlights New York City restaurant deals recently targeted Manhattan office workers with a recent guerrilla effort. The company targeted the at-work crowd specifically because they’d be likely to get online shortly after interacting with the brand. “We tried to focus on the at-work segment ” Ran Ravitz DiningFever.com’s ceo told Buzz. “We assumed those consumers would be sitting at a computer again a few minutes after we talked to them.”

The promotion themed “If you’ve got the Fever we’ve got the cure ” was brought to life with a 1957 DeSoto ambulance and brand ambassadors dressed as retro doctors and nurses. Ambassadors offered consumers mini chocolates and scratch-and-win cards redeemable for deals at NYC restaurants.

The brand stopped at locations including Midtown Wall Street and Bryant Park. DiningFever saw a spike in web traffic after the program began and the site plans to reprise the effort later this month. Agency: The Michael Alan Group New York City.
