Random House Children’s Books, a division of Penguin Random House, and Momentum Worldwide have teamed up to design and create a fully functional bookstore on wheels for The Story Stop Tour and the Chapter Book Champions Challenge. Craftsmen Industries completed the engineering and fabrication for the open-air unit.
The fully customized vehicle launched in April at the LA Times Book Festival. The unit includes a large area for book displays, a designated space for local partners to operate point of sale system, a custom area for author book signings and ample room for costume character appearances at family-focused events throughout the country.
Momentum and Craftsmen paired to create the customized interior to resemble a cozy, yet functional bookstore, complete with vibrant signage and displays throughout the footprint.
Chapter Book Champions is a summer reading initiative from Random House Children’s Books and from their partner, Brightly, encouraging kids (ages 6 – 9) to read and explore chapter book series over the summer months.
The project’s goal is to make it a little easier, and a lot more fun, to raise kids who love to read. Invite the children in your lives to take the Random House Children’s Books Chapter Book Challenge this summer to help keep them engaged with classic and new books that appeal to kids with all kinds of interests.
