As smartphones become the primary device in consumers’ lives, it is critical for companies like AT&T to attract the best developers in the world to create mobile apps on its platform. That’s why AT&T partnered with Broadstreet to design and deliver the communication strategy for its annual Developers Conference.
The mandate from AT&T was simple: deliver 1,000 attendees a conference comprised of half-technology and half-business solutions. The number of attendees was a significant increase from the previous year. Broadstreet answered the call.
The first challenge: connect with a potential audience that rejects traditional marketing efforts. Developers are highly intelligent so Broadstreet created the campaign “Imagine. Create. Deliver.” designed to celebrate their unique talents. Broadstreet pulled through the campaign via the design of websites, digital advertising, social media and other creative assets aimed at the mobile developer community.
The result was an attendance of over 1,300 professionals that AT&T coveted. Broadstreet followed this accomplishment by working with AT&T to open its new Foundry, an innovation center for the Developer community where ideas, new apps, and strategic initiatives are cultivated and shared.
