Allstate’s Field Goal Net program (think good hands logo catching field goals at college games) has doubled since 2005 to include 60 schools and 16 bowl games. This year the program grows again with the addition of the Allstate Good Hands Net Mobile Tour which kicked off September 8 and will make 12 stops at college football games across the country.

At the tailgate events fans get three chances to score a field goal at a mini goal post net and can enter to win a sweepstakes that awards one fan a trip for two to the Allstate BCS National Championship game in New Orleans. The pre-game festivities give agents a chance to collect leads in their local markets. Karen Uhler senior marketing manager for Allstate told Buzz that the mobile tour makes the campaign message more tangible.

“It really offers us an opportunity to bring the face of Allstate closer in to the fans ” Uhler said. “The talk value alone and the way people are talking about our brand—it feels more contemporary it feels more alive more interactive.”

Also new this year fans can go online to bergwood.net to catch up with Allstate’s TV ad characters and their oopsy-daisy-type exploits. The brand hopes the addition of webisodes and interactive content online will drive viral buzz. Agency: Octagon Norwalk CT.
