GMC is back on tour promoting its vehicles and its Home Life experiential marketing platform at Home & Garden and Boat shows around the country. Its first stop this year was the Atlanta Boat Show, which took place in mid-January. Next up is Cleveland at the Great Big Home and Garden Show on Feb. 2. GMC’s Home Life tour will make 11 stops this year.
The tour includes a 50-foot by 50-foot indoor presence as well as a ride and drive experience. A custom-built housing structure includes vehicle displays. Attendees can take a short quiz on an Android app about their boating and home preferences which then corresponds to their “GMC Professional Grade Profile,” a play on the GMC tagline, “Professional Grade.”
“This is the type of event to target consumers that have high quality standards and pride themselves on their environment and their accomplishments and have a need for functional and reliable products,” Chris Hornberger, national promotions manager at GMC, told Buzz. “The goal is to attract consumers who appreciate hands-on activity, craftsmanship and professional-grade quality.” Agencies: Jack Morton Worldwide and Next Marketing, Atlanta.
