    The Great Urban Outdoors events took place in the two weekends leading up to the grand opening of the new store. At the events the brand instructed consumers on camping and fly-fishing as an extension of its in-store outdoors education sessions.

  • Reebok’s ‘Flashy’ Concept Store

    Reebok in November launched Reebok Flash the British sportswear company’s first pop-up store. The 3 000-square-foot space located in an art gallery on the Bowery on New York City’s Lower East Side is inspired by the pop spirit of the ‘80s recalling the decade when the brand rose to prominence with iconic sneaker styles such as the Pump and the Freestyle. The store will be open daily through Dec. 15.

  • Walmart Turns Its Sustainability Pledge Into Action

    In 2005 Walmart ceo Lee Scott announced that the retail giant would be stepping up its environmental commitment to the tune of $500 million per year to increase fuel efficiency in the brand’s truck fleet reduce greenhouse gases and scale back energy consumption and solid waste at its U.S. stores and Sam’s Clubs. This September at its annual Walmart Holiday Meeting the brand for the first time turned its sustainability pledge into action at one of its live events.
