    “strategically lost” 5 000 wallets on the streets of San Francisco to
    raise awareness of online identity theft and promote its product as a
    solution.

     

    Wallets contained collateral directing consumers to report their find
    at a custom web site; everyone who did was entered in a drawing for 500
    gallons of gas. The connection between gasoline and Internet security?
    The web site told visitors: “Identity theft is skyrocketing—just like
    gas prices.”

  • Summer Events: Dunkin’ Donuts Brings The Beach To Three Cities

    Dunkin’ Donuts is promoting its new tropical flavor smoothies with
    beach parties—at non-beach locations—in Boston Chicago and Jackson
    NJ . The events feature limbo and hula hoop contests; winners can
    score DD gift cards and branded beach towels and beach balls. Brand
    ambassadors in tropical attire are handing out samples from a branded
    truck. The drinks are currently available at DD locations in the
    Northeast but they roll out nationwide next month.
