Product Launches: Jeep Finds Its Sweet Spot

Jeep will herald the arrival of the 2008 Jeep Liberty into dealer showrooms with a tasty event called Sweetest Day The Jeep Way.

On Oct. 18 in Cleveland where the Sweetest Day tradition was founded by local candy makers Jeep will challenge seven randomly selected contestants to lick their way through one of seven chocolate-covered Jeep vehicles representing each of the models in the brand’s lineup. The first two participants to lick their way through the layers of chocolate will make their way to the Jeep Liberty filled with wrapped chocolate and candies in search of the keys to an all-new Jeep Liberty 4X4 with a Sky Slider roof valued at $24 625.

Jeep also will make a $7 000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland as part of the event.

Contestants must be legal residents of Illinois Indiana Kentucky Michigan Ohio Pennsylvania or West Virginia and submit a 250-word essay stating why they want to celebrate “Sweetest Day the Jeep Way.”

“The whole idea is to have a little fun because normally Jeep owners love to cover their Jeeps in mud ” Carrie McElwee the company’s senior manager-communications told Buzz. “We thought it would be fun to cover them in chocolate to celebrate the ‘Sweetest Day’ the Jeep way.” Agency: Clear Blue!
