Monthly Pulse Survey Results: The State of Outdoor Events

Event Marketer’s monthly Industry Pulse Survey fielded responses from the experiential marketing community in June focused on the state of outdoor events. With an uptick in client demand for al fresco experiences, three-quarters (77%) of respondents said they plan to host between one and 10 outdoor events this summer, with local or state fairs/festivals serving as the most popular (24%) location. BONUS DATA:

• Within outdoor event footprints, a majority of event marketers are incorporating natural flooring (grass, pavement, etc.) and benches, stools and stylish chairs with backs for seating.

• For weather contingency plans, respondents cited tenting, moving indoors or holding the outdoor event rain or shine.
