Research: Employees Say They Respond To Experiential Marketing

When it comes to influencing employees the old adage really rings true: It’s not just what you say; it’s how you say it. A just-published report reveals that live experiences are highly valued as a way to communicate with employees. Asked “What medium is most likely to influence employee behavior?” respondents in the U.S. U.K. and Australia ranked “live experiences” second only to “hearing from your immediate manager.” And live experiences were ranked as the most influential medium by respondents in China.
 
The study conducted by New York City-based Jack Morton Worldwide also found:
·      84 percent of employees say that participating in a live experience would give them more information than other forms of communication;
·      86 percent say live experiences are more engaging that other forms of communication; and
·      86 percent say live experiences would cause them to talk to others about their company.
