Glaceau Hydrates Volleyball Qualifier

Glaceau’s vitaminwater brand provided a hydration lounge at this year’s annual Big South National Volleyball Qualifier March 30 to April 1 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. Big South attracted 1,164 teams, 50,000 attendees and more than 14,000 girls ages 10 to 18, who competed in the tournament.

The 400-square-foot lounge area offered a place where the girls could kick off their kneepads and relax off the courts on comfortable couches and chairs. The brand distributed close to 20,000 bottles of vitaminwater, including a new Fuji-apple and watermelon flavor called Attention. The lounge featured charging stations for phones and laptops and a photoboxi station, where girls could take their picture and upload it to Facebook and Twitter via an email link sent to their phones.

“Vitaminwater was thrilled to be a part of the Big South event this year,” Jeff Garrett, director-marketing, southeast region, at Glaceau, told Buzz. “It was a great event and an amazing opportunity for us to reach more than 20,000 consumers.”
