Activation: Schick Launches Search For Next Action Sports Star At X Games
To leverage its official sponsorship at last week’s Summer X Games in Los Angeles Schick Quattro built on-site presence with a branded skate park (smaller than what the pros use but still legit for fans) at the Home Depot Center one of the Games’ two venues. Attendees were invited to show their stuff and enter a contest dubbed the Schick Quattro East vs. West Xperiment.

Integrated Marketing: Panasonic Invites Families To Live in High Definition
Television has always brought families together but Panasonic has a hunch that its HD products can do more than just draw slack-jawed sofa potatoes into the living room.
According to a Panasonic-sponsored Harris Interactive survey 63 percent of parents would spend more money on technology if it increased family time. To test the theory (and to get its products in the hands of consumers before the TV industry switches from analog to HD in 2009) the electronics brand is launching its Living in High Definition program. -

Custom Vehicles: Cintron Beverage Tricks Out HHRs
Cintron Beverage Group is putting a fleet of tricked out Chevy HHR Panel vans on the road to raise brand awareness of its year-old line of energy drinks. The black and silver vehicles feature customized visors and running boards as well as the Cintron logo and its slogan—An energy drink that tastes great!—in large graphics. The vehicles were customized by CRC Studios a Detroit auto customizer.
“We’re hopeful that these vehicles will be seen as unique and that a lot of buzz will come with them ” Wes Wyatt ceo of Cintron told Buzz. -

Activation: Lexus Targets Younger Demo With Virtual US Open
As part of its US Open sponsorship Lexus created a three-day virtual tennis tournament at New York City’s Rockefeller Center. Playing tennis on Nintendo’s Wii console participants vie to win the grand prize—a one-year lease on a Lexus IS F and tickets to the US Open finals.
