FX Network’s Harley Riders Hit The Streets
To get viewers revved up about the Sept. 3 premiere of its new original series “Sons of Anarchy ” the FX Network had 50 Harley-Davidson riders hit the streets of Beverly Hills Hollywood Los Angeles and New York City all wearing t-shirts branded with the show’s information.
“Getting people talking about it was our goal and I think we succeeded with that ” Kenya Hardaway director integrated promotions at FX Network told Buzz. “We wanted that watercooler buzz right before the day comes to an end and people determine what they’re going to tune in to that night.”

Chili’s Goes Tailgating In the Fall
Chili’s is looking to connect with college football fans via a tailgate tour that will visit 18 major college football games this fall between Oct. 11-Nov. 15 including LSU at Florida Oklahoma vs. Texas and Penn State at Wisconsin.
At each game Chili’s will have teams of six-10 people looking for fans tailgating with Chili’s food or signage. One tailgater each week will receive tickets to the postseason college football game of their choice. Others will receive Chili’s gift cards coupons T-shirts and other gifts.

To drive tune-in to this season’s June 8 premiere of “Ice Road Truckers ” cable net History teamed up with NASCAR in a partnership that brought an Ice Road Trucker-themed experience to four track events this season. History also created a series of mini-documentaries that will air during episodes of the series. -

Alaska Town Renamed Jolt During Summer Solstice
Energy drink Jolt recently capitalized on the summer solstice—the longest day of the year—by airlifting cases of their product to sleep-deprived citizens of Barrow AK the northernmost U.S. city. The beverage was distributed precisely at the solstice (approximately 8 p.m. on June 20)—which was exactly five weeks and six days after sunrise there with another five weeks and six days to go until nightfall.

Chrysler Partners With Six Flags
Chrysler is partnering with theme park company Six Flags in an effort to give consumers one-on-one experiences with its Chrysler Jeep and Dodge vehicles. Chrysler will have a significant presence at 10 Six Flag theme parks this summer and will add more parks in 2009. Additionally Chrysler Jeep and Dodge vehicles will become the “official vehicles” of the parks.
