The 2016 Ex Awards at the Experiential Marketing Summit drew a record-breaking 1,000 entries from around the world.
GMR and client Comcast XFINITY, alongside partner Craftsman Industries, took home a silver medal in the Best Vehicle Design category for work on the XFINITY Zone, an authentic at-track experience for NASCAR fans at races nationwide.
XFINITY Zone – Silver Ex Award Winner for Best Vehicle Design
The “XFINITY Zone” was created and built as an interactive 85’ x 85’ display with live XFINITY X1 service throughout the footprint. We engaged more than 75,000 guests across 13 NASCAR races to demonstrate how XFINITY is the leading innovator in sports, entertainment and technology through their title sponsorship of the NASCAR XFINITY series.
The fan engagement areas included an “innovation station,” where fans learned more about NASCAR via interactive videos on kiosks, an avatar station where fans inserted themselves into an XFINITY Series firesuit, along with several sweepstakes with opportunities to win NASCAR themed prizes. A retail shop and customer service/appreciation area was included as well.
