The Marketing Scope Upgrades its Virtual Prowess
The Marketing Scope is an online community and resource center for marketers, and to better reach its global audience, the brand implemented a state-of-the-art virtual environment in 2014. The environment was designed to host the brand’s various virtual summits and networking events, while giving users easy access to content, contributors and resources throughout the year.
Prior to this initiative, the brand only activated live events, which were rare and sparsely attended. With its new virtual event center, The Marketing Scope has been able to offer its experience and learning tools to its entire user base and involve the best contributors, no matter their physical location. Throughout 2014, the brand hosted four major events on the platform and has scheduled six more for 2015. Each summit focused on a key issue for marketers through a series of expert panels, an exhibit hall with relevant sponsors, resource library and networking lounge. After the events concluded, the brand kept the content live on-demand. Integrated social media and networking tools helped attendees continue their conversations with one another.
Attendance across the brand’s event schedule increased dramatically as a result of this move, and in a pleasant twist, the tech has also created a new revenue stream from sponsorship dollars that has become self-sustaining for these events. Virtually perfect.
