AT&T’s Client Dinners Feature Culinary Alchemy
AT&T wanted to create a social context to broaden and deepen relationships with c-level clients but had to find a creative and enticing way to carve out space in their busy social calendars. Enter a series of dinner events themed around culinary alchemy, a cooking culture that combines technique and technology.
Each executive was hand-delivered a 3D invitation, printed on the periodic table of elements, scrolled into a custom glass beaker and presented in a clear acrylic display box. The invite directed recipients to a microsite where they could register for the special dinner event. The chef met each guest at his or her table and manipulated the ingredients with not-so-obvious kitchen items, such as a Poly-Science Smoking Gun, liquid nitrogen and organic food-based inks, creating courses that included treats named Sushi Cartoon, Donut Soup and Fruit and Bubbles, plus an edible menu appetizer.
