Frito Lay Promotes Jack’D Snacks with Mobile Dunk Tank
Frito Lay this summer is traveling the country with a mobile dunk tank called the Splash Party RV as part of an effort to introduce its new Jack’D product line to Millennial men. The brand partnered with hip-hop sensations Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to drive social media buzz and with West Coast Customs (of MTV’s “Pimp my Ride” fame) to build the vehicle. The tour is designed to introduce the nine new flavors of the snack and get consumers to think of its health benefits (Jack’D is a high-protein snack) whenever they get hungry.

Last year, New York-based Friendship Dairies saw big, national competitors encroaching into its home territories in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. So to battle back the Chobanis and Daisys at the gate, the brand, a division of Saputo Dairy Foods, began crafting the Fit to Go Mobile Mixer Tour—a first-time foray into the event marketing space for the brand—and prepared to launch itself into the social media sphere as a support for the tour and a permanent home for the brand’s online fans.

Ender’s Game Brings Movie Sets to Comic-Con
To build on the excitement already brewing for the long-awaited film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s seminal sci-fi novel “Ender’s Game,” which opens this November, the film’s production company Summit Entertainment made tracks to Comic-Con July 18 to 21 in San Diego with a word-of-mouth strategy that gave attendees exclusive first peeks.
