  • Green & Black’s Targets Chocolate Lovers

    Green & Black’s is back on the road, taking its organic chocolate café to high-profile foodie events such as the Bon Appetit presents Chicago Gourmet (Sept. 23 to 25) and the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival (Sept. 30 to Oct. 2). The tour began earlier this year, then took a break during the hot summer months (when the chocolate would melt), and has since resumed.

  • Using Extravagant ‘Shoe’ Hats to Spark Buzz

    On Sept. 8, during Fashion’s Night Out in New York City, the Seychelles and BC shoe brands took to the streets with singing and dancing girls wearing customized shoe-themed hats led by drag queen Candice Cayne. The extravagant hats were a nod to high fashion names like hat designer Phillip Treacy and the recent royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton where several guests donned Treacy-designed hats.

  • McDonald’s Invades Chicago with Pop-Up Beach Party

     To promote its new smoothie flavor, the McCafé Mango Pineapple Real Fruit Smoothie, McDonald’s on July 14 staged a flash mob-esque beach party in Chicago’s Riverside Park during lunch. It all began with a bikini. An attractive young woman strolled through the park in a bikini as the business people of Chicago gathered in the park for lunch. She set up a beach chair right in the center of the park and asked a passing male “consumer” to help put some sunscreen on her back.

  • LG ‘Thrills’ Music Lovers With 3D Concert

    To promote the launch of LG Thrill 45, its glasses-free 3D smartphone that will be available on pre-order on Aug. 1, LG Mobile teamed up with YouTube and rock band Jane’s Addiction to present the world’s first user-generated concert.
