On Nov. 17, Microsoft’s Xbox division and the NFL announced a multi-year sponsorship deal that will make the game console brand the official partner of the NFL PLAY 60 youth health and wellness program. The partnership will seek to teach kids how to be active while having fun, courtesy of Kinect for Xbox 360.
Microsoft will activate at local and national events with the PLAY 360 program, including at schools, fairs, festivals and other events. Last week, as part of an in-school promotional event with players from the Seattle Seahawks, the brand donated three consoles, loaded with Kinect, to the Cathcart Elementary School in Snohomish, WA. Though the full event schedule and activations are still in the planning stages, events will feature the Kinect’s unique full-body gameplay and education about healthy lifestyles and activities.
