Samsung earlier this month celebrated fashion designer Valentino with a seven-day exhibit in New York City that is now showing in London through Sept. 19. The exhibit entitled “The Red Thread: The Inspiration and Passion of Valentino Garavani ” coincided with Fashion Weeks in those cities and was the first in The Samsung Imagination Icon Series a cultural initiative showcasing the worlds of fashion art and design.
The exhibit incorporates Samsung HDTV technology and digital curation giving consumers a closer look at the details of several Valentino original couture gowns which were displayed in glass cases. The designer’s life sketches images from his shows and exclusive footage from the upcoming film “Valentino: The Last Emperor ” also appeared on Samsung HDTVs and camcorders throughout the exhibit space.
“Fashion design art music and sports are passion areas for our consumers ” Steven Cook senior vp and cmo at Samsung told Buzz. “This exhibit brings to life Valentino’s life via digital curation a technology we are going to be pioneering.
