Chili’s Goes Tailgating In the Fall

Chili’s is looking to connect with college football fans via a tailgate tour that will visit 18 major college football games this fall between Oct. 11-Nov. 15 including LSU at Florida Oklahoma vs. Texas and Penn State at Wisconsin.

At each game Chili’s will have teams of six-10 people looking for fans tailgating with Chili’s food or signage. One tailgater each week will receive tickets to the postseason college football game of their choice. Others will receive Chili’s gift cards coupons T-shirts and other gifts.

Fans can submit photos from tailgate parties at other games online at for the opportunity to win a tailgate at a college football bowl or championship complete with Chili’s food and tailgating equipment such as coolers and other items.

“College football was attractive to us in terms of the fan base and the affinity they have for their football teams and the excitement that generates around the fall season ” Kristen Jones senior marketing manager at Chili’s told Buzz. “So many people get involved in it we thought it made perfect sense for us to be a part of. Tailgating is a pretty interesting way to get those fans excited and a way that we can drive traffic and build some sales through it.
