Sandy came to Red 7 in 2007 after seven years at Brandweek where she covered retail, apparel, beauty and luxury marketing. Prior duties included hanging out with models and photographers (tough job, but somebody had to do it) as fashion editor for Tennis magazine, Golfweek and Fairchild Publications. She holds an M.A. in French from Purdue University. Besides writing a college-level reference work on modern French literature, career highlights include breaking a national news story on Walmart, visiting the White House tennis court and exclusive interviews with fashion icon Oleg Cassini (who sent her an orchid in return!), hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, tennis ace James Blake and a then 20-something golfing phenom named Tiger Woods. When she’s not chasing stories for Event Marketer, you may find her at the gym, enjoying life on the Chesapeake Bay (yes, she’s a hon’ from Balamer!) or traveling, most recently to Hong Kong and Beijing.
