Nissan’s Leaf Tour Generates 20,000 Pre-Orders
Thanks in part to the success of Nissan’s Drive Electric mobile tour, the automaker has secured 20,000 pre-orders of it’s new Leaf, the first mass-produced, 100-percent electric vehicle. Drive Electric launched on Oct. 1, will continue until the end of March and then will relaunch again this spring. Consumers can preregister for the tour experience online or register on-site at the event.

CITGO Hosts Marketer Meetings
CITGO in January launched its Marketer Round Table Meetings, an annual series of 18 daylong events held across three regions designed to pump up the local marketers and retailers that sell its refined gas and diesel products. This year the hot topic was the company’s redesigned logo, its new retail image and a portfolio of marketing programs designed to help build their businesses.

Maybelline Makes Makeover Magic
As the official cosmetics sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, this year Maybelline engaged consumers at an offsite pop-up experience located in the Late Show with David Letterman building that focused on bringing backstage fashion secrets and beauty trends to the masses. A new Fashion Week strategy this year for Maybelline, the pop-up allowed the company to promote more engagement with consumers.

American Express Gives Guests VIP Treatment
Throughout Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, official sponsor American Express offered an array of fashion-related events and experiences exclusively to its cardholders. The centerpiece of the sponsorship program was a partnership with Architectural Digest in which the company commissioned renowned interior designer Bill Sofield to create the American Express Skybox, an exclusive space situated above Lincoln Center’s The Theater and The Stage venues, from which guests could view runway shows, listen to talks by designers and fashion editors and sip flutes of champagne.
