  • Boeing Celebrates Dreamliner’s Rollout

    Though the Boeing 787 Dreamliner had its official rollout a few years back at Boeing’s Everett assembly factory in Washington, the company earlier this year rolled the plane out again to celebrate its new final assembly and delivery facility, the 240-acre Boeing South Carolina in North Charleston, which began production in July 2011. The event’s theme was “Building Dreams,” and at its heart showed off South Carolina’s Low Country and its people.

  • Trolley Tour Promotes New PBS Series

    To promote “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” a new PBS series aimed at preschoolers, the network is bringing a 40-foot historic trolley to kid-friendly events and locations such as museums and zoos. The trolley is a throwback to “Mr. Rogers Neighborhood,” the iconic series that ran on the network for more than 40 years and is the inspiration for the new program.

    You’d expect a trade show for truckers to be larger than life. After all, the trucks are big, so it takes a lot of space to display them. But this year, Navistar’s 78,000-square-foot space at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), which took place March 22 to 24 in Louisville, KY, was four-to-five times its usual size and the largest footprint of any exhibitor at MATS in its 40-year history.
