Wells Fargo Home Mortgage a division of Wells Fargo Bank last month reached thousands of real estate professionals in 29 markets via a live simulcast held in 50 multiplex movie theaters. The simulcast launched the company’s 2008 outreach to consumers and focused on first-time home buyers low- to moderate-income and multicultural consumers with key messages about the housing market and challenges consumers are experiencing.
The program offered Wells Fargo a way to give real estate professionals face time with Wells Fargo salespeople. “Face-to-face interactions are a key piece to our business ” Edie De Phillips vp-meetings and convention planning Wells Fargo Home Mortgage told Buzz. “If a real estate professional can connect one-on-one with our home mortgage consultants we are better able to serve our customers.”
Finding traditional settings such as ballrooms and other large venues too “constraining ” DePhillips turned to National CineMedia which specializes in high-impact big-screen presentations in movie theater environments.
The two-hour program which was held April 17 began with 30 minutes of factoids stats and a video from the FHA followed by the hour-long live simulcast. The program wrapped up with local area managers who took to the stage for 30 minutes to discuss the local market.
“This technology allowed us to get the same message out in a format that had sensational energy and an excitement to it that a big screen can bring to you but we were able to take it across the country and not just have it experienced in just one venue ” DePhillips said. “We felt the live format delivered our message the best way and really made it an experience and an event that everyone involved would get the right message feel the same energy and be able to connect with our salespeople pre- and post-event.” Agency: National CineMedia New York City.
