Sony Computer Entertainment America leveraged its first-ever sponsorship of The Bamboozle Festival—a two-day alternative music festival at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford NJ—this weekend with a variety of activations surrounding its PlayStation brand.
“The consumer there is very young creative and forward-thinking” Donna Armentor senior manager-lifestyle alliances and consumer events at PlayStation told Buzz. “It’s a great match for the PlayStation brand.”
A taste of the action: The brand brought out its recently revamped PlayStation Patrol Truck which features a social gaming area where up to 16 consumers could check out several recently released and upcoming titles including Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
Consumers could also check out PSP Zones which highlighted the gameplay functionality of the handheld device including its ability to store and play music videos and photos.
In the Red Bull Artist Lounge the brand connected with musicians by staging a battle of the bands between performers on Rock Band for PlayStation 3.
