The Laneige Wonder Lab is on the move, hitting six locations this summer with hydration-inspired experiences. We stumbled upon the tour’s first stop in Orlando, FL, in front of Sephora at Disney Springs, which took place July 18-21. The activation featured the brand’s signature color palette of blues and pinks with a tiled backdrop that evoked a bathroom setting.

Queue Control

The small, open footprint wasn’t overcrowded, thanks to a line set up a few yards away from the space. As it was teased on social media, we decided to “Proceed with Curiosity” and join the queue that had umbrellas to provide some shade from the heat. We received a Sephora bag, and the first 100 attendees snagged new skincare goodies before their official debut: the Laneige Cream Skin Milky Hydration Sheet Mask.

When it was our turn, we walked over to the activation, and brand ambassadors handed us a passport with two Laneige product outlines to be stamped once we visited each station. Blenders and beakers filled with the new milky toner adorned the countertop where a brand ambassador explained its features and sprayed it on the back of our hand to try.

‘Animated’ Samples

At the next station, we sampled the Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer and then played the “Catch-a-Molecule” game. Inside an oversized version of the Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer bottle were “micro-sized molecules,” represented as Laneige-branded balls in pink, dark blue and light blue, and as black-and-white striped ones for Sephora.

The molecules bounced around the clear tube, and we reached in to grab one. Our prize was a water bottle with a mini Cream Skin Milky Toner Mist and a product holder attached to the lid. Others included a pink puff ball keychain and a magnetic lip gloss holder, but everyone came away with several samples.

An Exit Delight

At the end, brand ambassadors distributed coupons to use at the nearby Sephora. There, attendees could unlock the opportunity to play Laneige’s Scoop & Glow game with the purchase of one product. Shoppers received a holographic pouch with two product purchases, and three items earned them a pink branded tote. Plus, they could get their Cream Skin bottles and lip products bedazzled for free, or add charms to their JuicePop Box Lip Tint or lip balms.

On July 31, the Laneige Wonder Lab will pull into Chicago, and then travel to Head in the Clouds Festival L.A. on Aug. 8; The Grove in L.A. on Aug. 10; New York City, Aug. 22-23; and, lastly, Miami, Aug. 29-30. Stay glowy and hydrated.
