  • Dove Chocolate Goes Ultra High-Touch, Creates Indulgent Event


    Dove Chocolate partnered with women's internet site iVillage and Gallo wines, among others, to create an Afternoon of Indulgent Moments. The four-hour event, held on Mar. 9 at New York City's Chelsea Market, offered busy women a feminine, relaxing, friendly and sophisticated environment that served as an oasis from the stresses and challenges of city life.

  • Gillette Gives Away Shaves, Gathers Feedback at ProGlide

    Even though it's new razor, the Fusion ProGlide, won't be on shelves until June 6, Gillette is getting the word out now with two recent tryout events in New York City. On April 7 at Times Square and April 10 next to the Flatiron Building at Fifth and Broadway, the brand set up the "ProGlide Challenge" where men pitted their five o'clock shadows against the new razor's five blades and vibrating handle, with the assistance of several of Gillette's soothing lotions and creams.

    Samsung unveiled its first-ever 3D LED TV to passersby in Times Square at a surprise concert event featuring the Black Eyed Peas on March 10. The brand skipped traditional pre-promotions and instead relied on consumers in and around Times Square to generate buzz for the "impromptu" event with their handhelds and cell phones. The gamble worked, resulting in 2.4 billion media impressions.
