  • JetBlue Airways Offers a Jet-setting Substitute

    JetBlue Airways has created a line of faux products called the Flyers Collection to help make competing airlines feel more “jet-y” and is displaying its (admittedly fake) wares in a new pop-up storefront on 9th Avenue in New York City. The line was launched on the airline’s Facebook page at facebook.com/jetblue.

  • Art and Tech Showcase at WIRED Store

    WIRED magazine’s annual tech gallery and retail experience is a launching pad for new technology and cutting-edge products and this year will feature a creative collaboration with recording artist Moby who will combine artwork with electric paint that seems to come to life when touched. The breakthrough technology uses conductive inks to replace wires heat sources speakers lights power sources switches buttons and sensors making technology as thin and weightless as a layer of ink. Moby also performed a special dj set at the opening night party on Nov. 20.

  • Ambius Elves Promote Holiday Packages

    The interior landscaping and decorating company Ambius gave guerrilla tactics a shot this holiday season to drum up business for its holiday decorating packages. On Nov. 9 and 10 the company’s sales consultants dressed up as friendly elves to engage business people in Chicago Houston Los Angeles New York City San Diego San Francisco and Seattle.

  • Answering the Call of Duty for Release

    On Nov. 9 IGN Activision GameStop and Microsoft Xbox 360 leased the entire south end of New York City’s Union Square Park and created a full-scale military experience featuring military vehicles laser light shows perimeter guards and external big-screens featuring live game play. The objective was to create a launch event by which all video game launches in the future would be compared to drive buyers to retail and to win some new gaming fans in the process.

  • CNN Promos “Heroes” Tribute With Hometown Rallies

    Football wasn’t all that was on TV this Thanksgiving Day. There was the “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute ” too. To promote tune in for the show and encourage online voting for its hero of the year CNN organized grassroots rallies in communities in the U.S. and abroad for two weeks (Nov. 4-17) leading up to the show.
