Qdoba Takes Tacos to Seattle Streets
Restaurant chain Qdoba is serving mini beef and pork tacos out of a vehicle inspired by traditional Mexican taco trucks at various stops in Seattle where street food served from mobile trucks has gained popularity in the last year. Since Cinco de Mayo through mid-July (a fall round is in the works), the truck has stopped at high-traffic areas, including last month’s Seattle Pride Parade. Locations are announced via Facebook and Twitter.

Delta Dugout Scores a Run
Delta Airlines from June 18 to 20 activated Delta Dugout, an interactive experience for baseball fans at New York City’s Madison Square Park. The three-day event coincided with the interleague series between the Yankees and Mets known as the Subway Series and featured player appearances, baseball themed activities, live games and giveaways.

Waste Not, Good Samaritans
Did you know that most of the surplus food from your trade shows, conferences and events can be donated to food banks—with no liability to either your company or the food service establishment? The Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act, which was signed into law by President Clinton in October of 1996, protects food donors from civil and criminal liability at national and state levels. Yet many event marketers, hotels and restaurants don’t know that they’re covered.

Dove Chocolate Goes Ultra High-Touch, Creates Indulgent Event
Dove Chocolate partnered with women's internet site iVillage and Gallo wines, among others, to create an Afternoon of Indulgent Moments. The four-hour event, held on Mar. 9 at New York City's Chelsea Market, offered busy women a feminine, relaxing, friendly and sophisticated environment that served as an oasis from the stresses and challenges of city life.
