U.S. Cellular Shoots Hoops with the Thunder
U.S. Cellular recently wrapped a five-month consumer experience called Better in OKC that went live at all 41 regular-season Oklahoma City Thunder home basketball games at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The program ran from November through April 17.

HISTORY Tour Gets People Counting
HISTORY in March launched a mobile “Count the Cars Tour” to promote the April 9 season two premiere of “Counting Cars,” its car restoration show. The centerpiece of the tour was a 1966 Cadillac Coupe de Ville that had been restored by the show’s star, Danny “The Count” Koker, and filled with thousands of miniature die-cast cars. Fans could win the Caddy by guessing the number of tiny cars inside.

And with early results showing a sales increase of 27 percent in areas where it has focused, the strategy seems to be working.

Samsung Reaches for the Stars at SXSW
The Samsung Galaxy Experience at South by Southwest last month was a hub of events, activities and rewards for Galaxy owners on-site and throughout Austin. Samsung placed tags called TecTiles at various locations that people with NFC-enabled Galaxy phones could tap for offers from local businesses, such as free cupcakes, brownies and pizza. Galaxy owners running low on power could tweet #PowerOn to @SamsungMobileUS to receive a brand new fully charged battery via bike messenger.
