L’Oreal Cleans up on College Campuses
L’Oreal Paris is giving facial cleansing consultations at college campuses to promote its new Go 360 Clean facial cleanser. Kicked off at California State University in Long Beach on March 17, the Go Beyond Clean College Campus Tour is hitting 10 campuses through April 27. “The objective is to create an on-campus experience that builds trial and awareness,” Jennifer Paganini, assistant vp-consumer promotions and alliances and events at L’Oreal, told Buzz. “It’s a very innovative product and we want to establish it as the face cleansing solution for men and women within this audience.”

H&M Choreographs Kids’ Event in San Francisco
Swedish retailer H&M on March 27 surprised onlookers in San Francisco’s Union Square with a flash mob of 55 dancing kids decked out in jeans and sporty, colorful t-shirts, jackets and dresses from the store’s children’s apparel collection. They engaged in a hip-hop dance battle that lasted four minutes but has garnered thousands of views on YouTube. Bystanders captured the performance on cell phones and cameras and received fliers for 20 percent discounts on kids’ apparel purchases through April 4.

New York Red Bulls Open Fan Zone at New Jersey Stadium
When opening day at the New York Red Bulls Arena soccer stadium in Harrison, NJ rolled around on March 20, fans who flocked (mostly by train) to the game were greeted outside by a brand new all-soccer Fan Zone, designed by Burbank, CA-based Midnight Oil Creative. The team, owned by Austrian energy drink company Red Bull GmbH, has until now played at Giants Stadium at the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

Taubman Offers ‘Wicked’ Promotion
National mall owner Taubman has partnered with Broadway musical “Wicked” in a two-year program that will put displays and promotions in seven Taubman malls in markets where the musical will be on tour. The promo kicked off on March 12 at Sunvalley Shopping Center near San Francisco, then in mid-April will travel to Northlake Mall in Charlotte, NC, then make five additional stops before wrapping up next fall.

Good Housekeeping Celebrates 125 years… on Broadway
Good Housekeeping magazine is letting the world know it's about more than cleaning house as it marks its 125th anniversary with a salute to influential and inspiring American women of the past 125 years. “Shine On,” an original 90-minute stage production to be performed April 12 in New York City, will benefit the National Women’s History Museum and will feature performances by Meryl Streep, Kristen Bell and Fran Drescher.
