Allstate’s Field Goal Net program (think good hands logo catching field goals at college games) has doubled since 2005 to include 60 schools and 16 bowl games. This year the program grows again with the addition of the Allstate Good Hands Net Mobile Tour which kicked off September 8 and will make 12 stops at college football games across the country.

So when an ex-pat named Tim Ellingham lamented to the beer maker that he couldn’t get his favorite lager in London the brand decided to ship it to him—in a custom-built fully operational Speight’s brew pub riding atop a cargo ship. It’s the beer’s first expansion into the international market.

Alltel’s My Circle First And Ten sweepstakes gives one fan from each of 16 collegiate and professional football teams a shot at winning $100 000. One randomly chosen competitor gets to take the field along with his or her “ten” (the people they call for free based on Alltel’s signature cellular plan) to complete a pass ten yards at a time. Qwest is hoping to attract consumers to its presence at Omaha’s Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Roundup this weekend with the help of an unlikely talent—a mathematical mastermind.

Scott Flansburg—a.k.a. the Fastest Human Calculator—will be on site with Qwest to show off his stuff to event attendees namely calculating complex math problems in his head faster than a real calculator. The tie-in with Qwest? He’ll also be able to talk numbers with potential Qwest customers.
