“If it’s brown, lie down” is the common adage for bear encounters, but the Seattle Kraken team barely had time to react on a recent promo shoot in Alaska. While filming a fly-fishing outing at Katmai National Park, a brown bear charged toward the NHL team’s sea-troll mascot, Buoy, who was knee-deep in a river with player John Hayden, a film crew and guides. The animal quickly turned away, but it was a beary close call.
