From return-to-office mandates to remote workflows, no matter the side of the coin your agency lands on this year, workplace culture has entered its most challenging era. And it appears there is a lot to make up for: A Gallup 2024 poll found that employee engagement fell to an 11-year low, while Inc.’s annual CEO Survey identified “burnout” as the most common workforce challenge.
In this issue of Agency Leader, we tackle the year’s biggest challenges and opportunities, from the latest business travel trends, to hiring and onboarding in the culture-shift year, to office policies and design for the post-pandemic workforce. And if it’s been the kind of year so far that we imagine it has been (you know, moving at break-neck speed), we polled a few of your fellow leaders for tips and insights on delegating and recharging.
Finally, if you didn’t catch it last week: We’ve launched the Call for Applications for the 2025 It List. Applications are due April 20. We can’t wait to read about what your agency has been up to this year. Enjoy the issue.
