Happy employees, happy life. Employee satisfaction plays a key role in the success of any business. By showing appreciation and rewarding employees, it encourages better performance, in return, higher profits. Here are some tips to curating an engaging and memorable employee appreciation event.

Generate buzz. Employees talk. So give them something to talk about. By highlighting aspects of the event, employees have the opportunity to learn exactly what will be offered. Innovate Marketing Group did just that with their corporate event experience for 2,000 people at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

An internal bi-weekly communication was sent out featuring certain zones from the event – DJ and raffles, food, team building, wellness, carnival games, and sports clinic. This was able to create excitement and get employees talking about the event.

Communicate constantly. Employees love to be in the loop and feel included. By having constant communication, employees gain the sense of importance. Not only will this drive employee satisfaction, constant communication gives way to the opportunity for companies to brand internally and market their event.

Prior to the corporate event, Innovate Marketing Group created and scheduled a calendar of communication regarding the event. Employees were able to learn more about the event itself and had a direct contact to reach out to with questions.

Provide incentives. To get employees excited and interested in attending the appreciation event, Innovate Marketing Group provided their client with great raffle items which included an Apple iWatch, Apple iPad, Beats by Dr. Dre, Disneyland tickets, Keurigs, and a grand prize 60” Vizio Smart TV.

Build partnerships. Partnerships provide additional resources and add value to any event. Innovate Marketing Group was able to partner with Hubert’s Lemonade, Pocky, and the American Red Cross to heighten their client’s event experience.

Create a full sensory experience. Employees can see the thought put into any event. Make the appreciation event a highly curated one. Create touch points and engagement with employees everywhere they go.

During Innovate Marketing Group’s corporate event experience, guests were greeted by the USC marching band, welcomed to over 40 different activities for people of all ages, had the opportunity to try 15 food and dessert trucks and stations, get trained by former USC football players, tour the USC football locker rooms, and the list goes on.

Remember, happy employees drive better performance. So take the time to brand internally and show employees how much they are appreciated. http://www.innovatemkg.com
