Celebri-Cats Help Friskies Drive Product Trial
Playing off the idea that cats are always in charge, Friskies on Aug. 20 opened a "cat-controlled kitchen" pop-up on Broadway in New York City. Helping to drive trial and consideration for two Friskies products were Grumpy Cat and Nala Cat, stars in the internet cat world with significant followings on social media. To get consumers spreading the love, whether they were on-site or not, Friskies assigned each cat a hashtag, and consumers were encouraged to "vote" for what team they were on.
