Verizon Engages Mall-goers with the FiOS Tech Corner

During the busiest shopping season of the year, Verizon showcased its FiOS high-tech home entertainment technology with the creation of the FiOS Tech Corner set up at the upscale Westfield Montgomery Mall minutes from Washington D.C. For 18 days (Nov. 1-Dec. 28) the brand activated in a 100-square-foot stand in the middle of the most trafficked wing of the mall.

Inside, FiOS showcased its broadband service on a high definition 42-inch screen. Brand ambassadors were on hand to answer questions and to sign up customers (using a touch screen) to receive FiOS service that day. Those that signed up were rewarded with tickets to a Washington Wizards game and a $50 mall gift card. Qualified customers (those that live in areas able to receive FiOS) were introduced to a Verizon sales rep that completed the sales process on the spot. The event resulted in a 49 percent lift in holiday sales.
