Symantec had “tunnel vision” when it introduced its newest tools, technologies and techniques to IT professionals and executives attending Vision 2006. Its media-rich conference environment featured a walk-in tunnel that mapped graphic animations three-dimensionally on all surfaces.

As attendees progressed through the tunnel, live animation sequences zipped across the screen walls while a specially created soundtrack throbbed throughout the room. As they emerged, attendees viewed a graphics-driven opening video for an immersive experience as the first presenter took to the stage. A live-streaming second-floor video wall reiterated the theme of “Protection, Infrastructure, Information, Interactions” and provided updates from the conference general sessions.

The walk-in tunnel submersed attendees in the content from the moment they entered the venue. The program was translated into five languages and sent out globally via live Webcasts, solidifying the impression of Symantec as a $5 billion company that is innovative and creative.
