Sandvik Displays Products in an Interactive Tool Box
Leveraging its presence at the International Manufacturing Technology Show, engineering group Sandvik aimed to showcase the new tools and unique solutions it developed for modern business, while offering a sneak peek at what the future of the industry might look like. Through its hands-on activation, the brand was able to highlight select tools from its catalogue without having to bring its full arsenal of inventory to the show floor.
A 600-square-foot interactive tool display and RFID-enabled Sandbox tables allowed customers to handle Sanvik tools, look up information and have questions answered by the brand’s product experts. Attendees chose a tool equipped with RFID technology, then waved it over a touchscreen embedded in the table. Relevant static and motion graphics and information would appear on the screen and allow the participant to study specific content and explore the various methods of applying the selected instrument’s technology. The space allowed attendees to connect with Sandvik’s array of tool options through both physical and digital means, ultimately providing a viscerally engaging experience.
Although the Sandvik booth offered multiple engagements, the Sandbox was celebrated as the element that glued them together and, ultimately, attracted the most attention. We’d say the brand, ahem, nailed it.
