Metalast Tour Features Sophisticated Training Center
Executives at Metalast know that live demonstrations of its metal finishing services and face-to-face meetings are the company’s most powerful sales tools. But getting Fortune 500 engineers and procurement execs to Metalast’s Minden, NV, headquarters isn’t always easy. Enter the Touring Resource & Educational Exhibit, or T-REX, a mobile showcase and conference room that allowed Metalast to take demos right to its target audience.
The 48-foot expandable trailer featured a 36-seat training center classroom, state-of-the-art audiovisual system with two plasma screens and fully automated mini replica of a metal finishing line. The truck hosted 90-minute seminars focusing on the benefits of Metalast’s computer process control services and environmentally friendly metal finishing.
A satellite link allowed visitors to participate in videoconferences with technicians back at the Metalast headquarters, so the company could continue getting execs face-to-face (virtually, anyway) in front of clients. T-REX featured a computerized registration desk, two demonstration computers, a wet bar and restroom.
