The Diamond Club is International’s way of honoring the top performers within its various business units, and in 2005, winners headed to San Diego for a few days of meetings, fun and relaxation. A welcome reception the first night of the event revolved around a dealer resource center—a mini trade show that gave winners some one-on-one time with with the brand’s internal business units and outside suppliers.

A general session the next morning at San Diego’s Petco Park gave participants a chance to hear about plans for the year ahead, followed by tours of the ballpark. That afternoon, attendees could choose to see the sights at the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld or a host of other San Diego-area attractions. At night, guests were whisked off to a Marine Corps air base hangar for a dinner reception, where International trucks and engines (as well as a few F-16 fighter jets) were on display.

Response was high, with 654 of 764 Diamond Club winners taking the trip to San Diego for the event.
