From the chandelier covering the entire reception space to the giant four-sided projection cube hanging just below it to the two massive curved screens surrounding the presentation space, the message came through loud and clear: AOL is connected. The connected theme positioned AOL at the forefront of the best of TV and digital media and was evident at every touch point for attendees at this year’s AOL Digital NewFront, where smart technology was front and center.

The 90-foot in diameter, custom LED Connected chandelier was DMX controlled and entirely run from the lighting console. The design represented the scale, scope and reach of AOL’s distribution. Light and color pulsing through its long tubes provided a visual metaphor of the highly connected infrastructure that feeds AOL’s offerings. The four-sided projection cube beneath it represented AOL’s publishing partners and visually reinforced the message told at the interactive, circular bar below where attendees sipped cocktails and learned more about the brand. The presentation space featured blended projection in a full 360-degree in-the-round experience where the two 120-foot long by 30-foot tall screens circled the room, creating an intimate environment where the star-studded roster of presenters revealed the new line-up and AOL’s top execs discussed the digital media landscape.

As a result, every attendee felt connected to AOL as the company proudly displayed its leadership in the new era of digital media.
