Cisco Virtual Event Offers Access to Industry Experts
Many marketers lure attendees to their events by offering exclusive access to new product releases or in-demand subject matter experts. Virtual events are no different.
To connect with IT decision makers, last year Cisco traded in a traditional trade show for a virtual event and drove registration by giving virtual attendees private access to top company execs and outside industry leaders. Cisco executives headlined the event; six industry experts provided a credible outside perspective.
Inside the virtual space, Cisco broke out booths by areas of interest, so rather than searching by product, attendees could get info on a wide range of similar technologies in one spot. This strategy created a more intuitive experience and helped attendees get what they wanted faster. Subject matter experts staffed each booth to help them further hone in on their specific needs via one-on-one chats.
The event exceeded its goals with 3,778 registrants and over 1,300 attendees. Attendees spent an average of 2.5 hours at the event, contributing to more than 5,000 booth visits.
