Sponsorships: AT&T Leverages KROQ Deal To Offer Exclusive Content To Consumers

Earlier this month AT&T’s blue room—the website which leverages AT&T’s partnerships with musicians and entertainers to broadcast exclusive content—connected consumers with popular alternative rock bands through a two-day event and webcast.

“I think that when it comes to music in Los Angeles and just music in general KROQ is really well-known for promoting great new alternative music ” Amy Friedlander senior vp-programming for AT&T told Buzz. “It really fits with our brand and gives us a way to bring that great new music to consumers.”

The KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas Event had the brand teaming with the Los Angeles-based rock station to broadcast footage and backstage interviews from the Dec. 8 and 9 event through the blue room site.

Concert footage and backstage interviews from KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas was streamed live via AT&T blue room music (attblueroom.com/music). The artist lineup includes such bands as Bad Religion Rise Against the Machine Feist The Shins and Jimmy Eat World.
