Procter & Gamble’s Gillette Venus women’s razor brand used a press
event at New York City ’s Radio City Music Hall to announce that Mariah
Carey would front the brand’s fourth annual Legs of a Goddess contest.
The brand picked the venue because “ Radio City Music Hall ’s natural
association with legs via the famous Rockettes links nicely to the
Venus brand ” Kara Salzillo Gillette’s global external relations
manager told Buzz.
Aside from the songstress herself the event’s most prominent
attraction was a 16-foot statue of Carey’s legs and Gillette presented
Carey with a miniature likeness of the statue. The Legs of a Goddess
contest events will take place at five of Carey’s concert venues in
